Town Hall Meeting – Accounting to the People
As part of the tour by the Hon Bono Regional Minister, a significant Town Hall Meeting was convened in Berekum East on Friday, 17th July 2026. The gathering formed part of the “Accounting to the People Series,” which seeks to strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in governance.
The Minister was joined by the Honourable Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Berekum East, Hajia Fati Abubakar who made a solid presentation on the projects and programmes happening in the municipality to the general public, and the Member of Parliament for Berekum East Constituency, Hon. Ampaabeng Kyeremeh who as well mention several inintiatives and supports the municipality has enjoyed under his leadership. Other dignitaries and Assembly officials were present in the meeting.

Presentation of achievements: The Regional Minister and MCE outlined completed and ongoing projects across the municipality, including infrastructure, health, education, and community development initiatives.
Dialogue with citizens: Residents were given the opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns, and share suggestions directly with their leaders.
