The Office of the Head of Local Government Service has organized a training program for its Physical Planning staff on the Revised Operational and Procedure Manual. The training, which took place on 16th and 12th September, 2024 at the Berekum East Municipal, aimed to equip staff with the knowledge and skills required to implement the revised manual.
The training covered various topics, including the organizational structure and roles, planning and development processes, permitting and enforcement, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation and compliance. Participants were also taken through case studies and scenario planning exercises to enhance their understanding of the revised manual.
In the opening remarks, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Kofi Adjei, emphasized the importance of the revised manual in ensuring effective and efficient service delivery. He urged staff to take the training seriously and to implement the knowledge and skills acquired in their daily work.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Baah who provided insightful presentations and facilitated group discussions and exercises. Participants were actively engaged throughout the training, asking questions and sharing their experiences.
The training ended with a closing remark by the Physical Planning Department's Head, Mr. Awuah who thanked participants for their active participation and commitment to implementing the revised manual. He also urged staff to continue to work together to achieve the department's goals and objectives.
