As part of the mandate of
the BRRC to ensure the total development of the Regions their MMDAs through
effective co-ordination, harmonization, monitoring and evaluation of activities
of the District Assemblies and Agencies within the Region, the Bono Regional
Coordinating Council conducts monitoring and evaluation exercise to help its
Assemblies achieve their organizational goals. A team of officers from the BRCC
visited the Berekum East Municipal Assembly to assess the output of work of the
Assembly. The exercise began with a welcome address from the Hon. M.C.E for
Berekum East Municipal Assembly, The M.C.D, Deputy Director, Head of
Departments/Units and other officers welcomed the Officers from BRCC in an
Entry conference organized at the Municipal Assembly conference Hall. The
performance areas that were assessed include: Development planning,
Physical/spatial planning, Administration, Coordination and Human Resource
Management, Procurement/Contract/Asset Management, Budgeting, Financial
management, Social services.
With participation and
coordination from all Units and Departments, the exercise came to a success
through submission and verification of requested documents. A closing remark
was given by the Lead Officer from The BRCC at the exit conference. The
Municipal Co-ordinating Director thanked the officers.
