Clean-Up Exercise Led by the MCE – Berekum East Municipal Assembly
The Berekum East Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon Hajia Fati Abubakar, organized a successful clean-up exercise aimed at promoting environmental sanitation and public health within the municipality.
The exercise brought together Assembly staff, community members, market women, youth groups, and other stakeholders, all united in their commitment to keeping Berekum East clean and safe. Participants engaged in sweeping, desilting of gutters, clearing of refuse, and proper disposal of waste at designated sites.
In hes remarks, the MCE emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment. She noted that sanitation is a shared duty and urged residents to adopt regular clean-up practices to prevent diseases and enhance the beauty of the municipality. The MCE further highlighted the Assembly’s dedication to enforcing sanitation by-laws and supporting community-led initiatives that foster cleanliness and healthy living.
